REBECCA BROWN, MSW, RSW, CCC - CO-FOUNDER
Rebecca is a Registered Social Worker with her career spanning 30 years within the medical, childhood trauma and family violence sectors. She was a provincial trainer and Coordinator of the Critical Incident Debriefing Team. Rebecca is a Certified Health & Wellness Coach and incorporates Lifestyle Medicine into her private practice. She is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Family Medicine, Western University and an Associate with the TEND Academy delivering workshops and conferences throughout North America on the topics of PTSD, Vicarious Trauma, Compassion Fatigue and Resilience.
Registration with the Ontario College of Social Workers, and Certifications with the Canadian Counselling and Psychotherapy Association ensures ethical standards and practices, and fees are covered by most health care plans.
Mental Health Practitioners available at London Equine Assisted Therapy work under the supervision of Rebecca who will help find the best solutions to meet each person's unique needs.

JESSICA CARROLL, BA, BSW
Jessica joined the team in September, 2017 when she participated in an 8-month long placement at LONDON EQUINE ASSISTED THERAPY as part of the Bachelor of Social Work (BSW) program. During this time, Jessica developed practice skills in equine assisted therapy under direct supervision of Rebecca Brown. Since completing her BSW, Jessica works alongside Sue and the horses to provide mental health services on selected evenings.
In addition to her BSW degree, Jessica holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Western University with a specialization in women's studies and feminist issues, and has years of experience providing service on a sexual assault and domestic violence crisis and support line.
Jessica has been a horse lover since before she could walk and has worked in partnership with horses in various capacities throughout her life. Jessica receives regular clinical supervision from the Mental Health Director, Rebecca.
ELIZABETH HARDY, BSW (HONS), MSW, RSW
Elizabeth Hardy earned both a Bachelor of Social Work (with honours) and Masters of Social degrees at the University of Western Ontario and Sir Wilfrid Laurier University respectively.
Elizabeth has worked in the area of child and adolescent mental health for twenty years and more recently has extensive psychotherapy experience with those experiencing traumatic life events, domestic violence and with those who use abuse towards others.
Person - centered and anti-oppressive approaches are hallmarks of Elizabeth's ethos.
Elizabeth is certified in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy levels 1 & 2 through Wilfrid Laurier University, and is trained in Image Transformation Therapy.
Other therapy modalities provided include: Solution-Focused Therapy, Somatic-Based Therapy, Trauma Therapy, Narrative-Based Therapy and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy.
SUE HATHERELL - CO-FOUNDER
An Equine Canada Certified Coach Level 1 since 2005, Sue has been an avid equestrian and horse owner for most of her life.
She has earned College Diplomas from Fanshawe College in Office Administration as well as Business Accounting and has a diverse resume of related expertise.
In her role as Equine Specialist, Sue is able to share her passion for horses and the power they hold. She focuses on observing the horses' behaviours and safety during sessions.
